I sought election – and am seeking reelection – as your Mayor because I want to help make this a better community – in every sense of the word. I have helped make this a city where we all feel safe and secure, by implementing solutions proven to reduce drug abuse and serious crime. I have worked with community leaders to honor our wonderful heritage, by preserving those aspects of our city that are charming and unique. And I have restored integrity, openness, and accountability to Salt Lake City government.

My long history of community service, my work ethic, and my proven management and leadership skills have contributed toward making me an effective, accessible, non-partisan leader. With your support, I will continue to provide the necessary leadership to build upon the successes of my first term as Mayor – and to honor the tremendous diversity of this remarkable place.
